The Aqara Temperature and Humidity Sensor T1 model TH-S02D represents the updated generation of Aqara's environmental sensors with enhanced features and improved stability. Like its predecessor, it measures temperature (-20 to +50 degrees Celsius with plus or minus 0.3 degrees accuracy), humidity (0-100% RH with plus or minus 3% accuracy), and atmospheric pressure (30-110 kPa with plus or minus 0.12 kPa accuracy) using a premium Sensirion sensor.

A key improvement in the T1 series is support for over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates, allowing Aqara to enhance functionality and fix issues without requiring device replacement. The compact circular design measures 36 x 36 x 9mm and is powered by a CR2032 battery rated for over two years of use. Historical environmental data is stored in the cloud at no cost, enabling users to review trends and patterns.

The T1 sensor uses Zigbee 3.0 protocol for improved stability and broader compatibility. When connected to an Aqara hub, it integrates with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings. The sensor can trigger automations based on temperature and humidity thresholds, such as activating climate control systems or sending alerts when conditions exceed desired ranges.
