Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Electrical installation: Have electrician install 60A circuit and NEMA 14-50 outlet or hardwire connection.
  2. Mount charger: Attach mounting bracket to wall at comfortable height.
  3. Connect power: Plug into NEMA 14-50 outlet or have electrician hardwire.
  4. Download Emporia app: Install and create account.
  5. Power on charger: Status light indicates ready state.
  6. Enter pairing mode: Hold button on charger until WiFi indicator flashes.
  7. Add in app: Tap "Add Device" and select EV Charger.
  8. Connect WiFi: Enter 2.4GHz network credentials.
  9. Configure amperage: Set maximum charging rate based on your circuit.
  10. Set up schedules: Create charging schedules for off-peak rates.
