What You'll Need
- Aeotec Smart Home Hub (SmartThings compatible)
- Ethernet cable
- Router with available LAN port
- Power adapter (included)
- Smartphone with SmartThings app
- Samsung account
Step-by-Step Setup
- Download SmartThings App: Install the SmartThings app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Create Samsung Account: Sign up for a Samsung account or log in if you have one.
- Connect Ethernet: Plug the Ethernet cable from the hub to your router.
- Power On: Connect the power adapter to the hub. The LED will begin flashing.
- Add Hub in App: Open SmartThings, tap (+) > Add device > Hub > SmartThings/Aeotec Hub.
- Enter Serial Number: Enter the hub's serial number or scan the QR code when prompted.
- Wait for Setup: The hub will connect to SmartThings cloud and update firmware.
- Name Location: Create a location and room for your hub to complete setup.

Troubleshooting
- Hub not found: Ensure Ethernet is connected and hub LED is blinking. Try power cycling.
- Firmware update stuck: Wait patiently - updates can take 15-30 minutes. Don't unplug.
- Z-Wave devices not pairing: Perform Z-Wave exclusion first if devices were on another network.
- LED status: Solid green = connected. Flashing = setup mode or updating. Red = error.
- Factory reset: Press and hold the reset button on the back for 10 seconds.
