What You'll Need
- Eve Light Strip (Matter)
- Smartphone with the Eve app installed
- Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz recommended)
- Compatible light fixture (E26/A19 standard socket)
Before You Begin
Make sure your light fixture is turned off at the switch before installing the bulb. The Eve Light Strip (Matter) connects via Matter, Thread and works with Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Home Assistant.
Step 1: Install the Bulb
Screw the Eve Light Strip (Matter) into your light fixture just like a regular bulb. Make sure it's securely seated but don't over-tighten.
Step 2: Power On
Turn on the light switch to power the bulb. The bulb may blink or pulse to indicate it's ready for setup.
Step 3: Download the App
Download the Eve app from the App Store or Google Play. Create an account or sign in if you already have one.
Step 4: Add the Device
Open the app and tap "Add Device" or the + icon. Select your bulb from the list and follow the in-app instructions to connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
Step 5: Test and Customize
Once connected, test the bulb by turning it on and off through the app. Explore brightness controls, color options (if available), and scheduling features.
Connecting to Voice Assistants
To use with Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Home Assistant, open your voice assistant app and add the Eve skill or integration. Link your accounts and discover devices.
Troubleshooting
- Bulb won't connect: Make sure you're on a 2.4GHz network, not 5GHz
- Bulb is unresponsive: Try turning the switch off and on 3 times to reset
- App can't find bulb: Ensure Bluetooth and location services are enabled
