Step-by-Step Setup
- Turn off the light fixture: Ensure the fixture is switched off before installing.
- Install the bulb: Screw the E12 Essentials bulb into the candelabra socket.
- Turn on power: Switch on the light fixture. The bulb will illuminate and enter pairing mode (may pulse).
- Open your Matter controller app: Apple Home, Google Home, or other Matter-compatible app.
- Add new device: Tap "+" and select "Add Accessory" or "Add Device."
- Scan Matter code: Find the Matter QR code or numeric code on the bulb packaging and scan it.
- Wait for connection: The bulb will connect via Thread to your border router.
- Assign room: Place the bulb in the appropriate room in your smart home.
- Test controls: Turn on/off, dim, and change colors using your app.

Troubleshooting
- Bulb not pairing: Ensure Thread border router is online. Turn bulb off/on 3 times quickly to reset pairing mode. Scan code carefully.
- Bulb offline: Check Thread network status. Power cycle the bulb. Ensure border router is within range.
- Color inaccurate: Adjust color in app settings. Some colors may appear different due to E12's smaller form factor.
- Dimming not smooth: Ensure fixture's switch is fully on (not dimmed). The bulb handles dimming—physical dimmer switches can interfere.
- Pairing code not working: Use the code exactly as printed. Try manual entry if scanning fails. Reset bulb and try again.
