Installing Your Arlo Essential Video Doorbell

What You'll Need

• Arlo Essential Video Doorbell
• Smartphone with Arlo Secure app
• Arlo account
• 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network
• Existing doorbell wiring (16-24V AC) or battery
• Phillips head screwdriver

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Turn Off Power: If using wired installation, turn off power at the circuit breaker.
2. Download Arlo Secure App: Install from the App Store or Google Play. Create or log into your account.
3. Add Device: Tap (+) > Doorbells & Chimes > Arlo Video Doorbell (select your model).
4. Check LED Status: Ensure the LED ring shows steady white light, indicating ready for setup.
5. Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow app prompts to connect to your 2.4GHz network. Stay within 10-15 feet of router during setup.
6. Wire Connection (if wired): Connect doorbell wires to the terminals on the back of the Arlo doorbell.
7. Mount Doorbell: Use the mounting bracket and secure with screws. May need to drill new holes.
8. Restore Power: Turn the circuit breaker back on for wired installation.

Troubleshooting
