Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Check compatibility: Verify your deadbolt's thumb turn is compatible. Measure and compare with provided compatibility guide.
  2. Select adapter: Choose the correct thumb turn adapter from the included set that fits your lock.
  3. Attach the adapter: Secure the adapter to the Lock Pro's rotating mechanism.
  4. Clean mounting surface: Clean the inside of your door around the deadbolt.
  5. Mount the Lock Pro: Position over your thumb turn and press firmly. The strong adhesive holds it in place. Optional screw mount for extra security.
  6. Insert batteries: Open the battery compartment and insert 4 AA batteries.
  7. Download SwitchBot app: Install and sign in to your account.
  8. Add the lock: Tap "+" and select "Lock Pro." Follow Bluetooth pairing instructions.
  9. Calibrate the lock: Run the calibration to set lock/unlock positions.
  10. Connect to Hub: Link to your SwitchBot Hub for remote access and Matter support.
  11. Add to Matter: Through the SwitchBot app, share the lock to your Matter controller.

Troubleshooting

  • Motor straining: Recalibrate. Ensure thumb turn rotates freely by hand. Check adapter fit.
  • Adhesive not holding: Surface must be clean and dry. Use screw mounting for heavy doors. Allow 24 hours for adhesive to cure.
  • Remote control not working: Requires SwitchBot Hub. Check Hub is online. Verify cloud connection in app.
  • Matter not connecting: Ensure Hub supports Matter (Hub Mini Matter or Hub 2). Share lock to Matter in app settings.
  • Lock jams mid-rotation: Door may need adjustment. Check strike plate alignment. Recalibrate with door properly closed.
