Doorbell Not Connecting to WiFi

  1. Arlo doorbells require 2.4GHz WiFi
  2. Position within strong WiFi signal range
  3. Sync button inside doorbell activates pairing
  4. Essential models work without existing wiring
  5. Try QR code setup if direct pairing fails

Not Detecting Motion

  1. Adjust motion sensitivity in Arlo app
  2. Configure activity zones to focus detection
  3. Avoid pointing at busy streets
  4. Motion works best for perpendicular movement
  5. Test detection in different modes

Wired Doorbell Not Charging

  1. Requires 16-24V AC transformer
  2. Bypass existing chime if incompatible
  3. Check transformer voltage with multimeter

Battery Draining Quickly

  1. Frequent motion triggers drain battery fast

HomeKit Secure Video

  1. Requires iCloud+ subscription (200GB+)
  2. Enable HomeKit in Arlo app settings
  3. Add to Home app via scan or manual
  4. HKSV recording separate from Arlo cloud
  5. Some AI features disabled with HKSV

Chime Not Ringing

  1. Configure chime in Arlo app notifications
  2. Alexa and Google can act as chimes
  3. Use Arlo Chime accessory for dedicated alert
  4. Traditional chime requires compatible transformer
  5. Check Do Not Disturb isn't enabled
