Innr smart lighting products including bulbs, outdoor pathway lights, spot lights, and smart plugs use Zigbee connectivity. This guide covers common issues with Innr devices.

Common Symptoms

  • Light not responding to commands
  • Device showing offline
  • Pairing failures
  • Inconsistent connection
  • Dimming or color issues

Zigbee Hub Requirements

Compatible Hubs

Innr Zigbee devices work with:

  • Philips Hue Bridge (most Innr products)
  • SmartThings Hub
  • Amazon Echo with built-in Zigbee
  • Hubitat Elevation
  • Home Assistant with Zigbee coordinator

Check Hub Status

  • Verify hub is powered and online
  • Check hub can control other Zigbee devices
  • Hub LED should indicate normal operation

Pairing Devices

Philips Hue Bridge

  1. Open Hue app
  2. Go to Settings > Light setup
  3. Tap Add light > Search
  4. Power on Innr light (ensure it's close to bridge)
  5. Bridge will discover compatible devices

SmartThings/Other Hubs

  1. Put hub in Zigbee pairing mode
  2. Power on or reset Innr device
  3. Keep within 10 feet during pairing
  4. Wait for discovery (may take 30-60 seconds)

Factory Reset for Pairing

If device won't pair:

  • Bulbs: Turn on/off 6 times quickly
  • Plugs: Hold button 5+ seconds
  • Outdoor lights: Refer to manual for reset method
  • Device should flash indicating reset

Connection Issues

Device Going Offline

  • Check Zigbee mesh coverage
  • Innr plugs act as repeaters—add for better mesh
  • Move device closer to hub or repeater
  • Check for Zigbee/WiFi interference

Intermittent Connection

  • Add more Zigbee repeaters (plugs, bulbs)
  • Ensure hub has clear line to devices
  • Check for interference from USB 3.0 devices
  • Consider changing Zigbee channel

Outdoor Lights

Pathway and Spot Lights

  • IP65 rated for outdoor use
  • Zigbee signal may be weaker outdoors
  • Ensure power supply is weatherproof
  • Add indoor Zigbee device near outdoor lights

Multiple Lights on One Power Supply

  • Each light pairs individually
  • Don't exceed power supply wattage limit
  • Check all lights are powered

Brightness and Color

Dimming Issues

  • Verify bulb supports dimming
  • Check hub/app dimming settings
  • Some bulbs have minimum brightness level

Color Temperature

  • Not all Innr bulbs support color
  • White-only bulbs may have tunable temperature
  • Check product specifications

Innr Smart Plug

Not Switching

  • Check plug LED status
  • Try physical button on plug
  • Verify hub can communicate with plug
  • Don't exceed wattage rating

As Zigbee Repeater

  • Innr plugs extend Zigbee mesh
  • Place strategically for better coverage
  • Don't use with items that cycle rapidly

Philips Hue Compatibility

When using with Hue Bridge:

  • Most Innr products are Hue-compatible
  • Some features may be limited vs native Hue
  • Entertainment/sync features may not work
  • Updates applied via Hue app
