The Aqara Smart Roller Shade Controller is a mains-powered tubular motor designed to automate roller blinds, Shangri-La blinds, and similar window coverings. Unlike the battery-powered Roller Shade Driver E1, this controller installs inside a roller tube and provides the power to turn blinds connected to that tube, making it suitable for larger or heavier window treatments. With a rated torque of 8 N*m and a rotor speed of 17 r/min, the motor delivers smooth, quiet operation for everyday use.

Operating at 220-230V 50Hz with a rated power of 121W, the controller is designed for wired installation requiring professional electrical knowledge. The motor features a 35mm pipe diameter and includes a wired remote control, latch, and clips for installation. The built-in Zigbee wireless communication module connects to your Aqara hub, enabling remote control through the app, scheduled opening and closing, and integration with other smart devices for automated scenes such as opening blinds when a projector turns on or closing them based on light sensor readings.

The controller supports various window covering types beyond regular roller blinds, including dual shades and sheer shades, providing flexibility for different interior design preferences. Users can save favorite opening percentages via smart scenes and switch between them easily, and automations can be triggered by sensors such as light sensors, motion detectors, and door/window sensors. The device operates reliably within a temperature range of -10 to 40 degrees Celsius and humidity levels of 10-95% RH.
