The Broadlink RM4 Pro is a WiFi-connected IR and RF universal remote hub that brings smart control to devices operated by infrared or radio frequency remotes. This hub learns commands from existing remotes and replays them on command, adding Alexa, Google Assistant, and app control to TVs, air conditioners, fans, motorized blinds, and other IR/RF devices without replacing them.

The hub supports both IR (infrared) for TVs, set-top boxes, and air conditioners, plus RF (433MHz/315MHz) for motorized blinds, projector screens, and some ceiling fans. The learning function captures remote signals for later replay through the Broadlink app, voice commands, or automation routines. The optional temperature and humidity sensor cable enables climate-triggered automations.

Home Assistant integration through the Broadlink component provides local control without cloud dependency. The compact hub requires line of sight for IR but RF signals pass through walls within range. For homes with legacy devices controlled by various remotes, the RM4 Pro consolidates control into smartphone and voice while enabling smart home automation of otherwise "dumb" devices.
