IKEA TRADFRI Remote Control

The IKEA TRADFRI Remote Control is a 5-button wireless controller for IKEA smart lights. The circular design features a central on/off button surrounded by brightness up/down and color temperature warm/cool buttons. The remote can be paired directly with up to 10 light sources for hub-free control, or connected through DIRIGERA for advanced automations and scenes.

The remote uses Zigbee protocol and can control lights even without WiFi connectivity - it communicates directly with paired bulbs for reliable operation. This makes it ideal as a bedside controller or anywhere quick, reliable light control is needed. The compact size fits comfortably in hand, and the included magnetic mount allows wall placement.

When connected to DIRIGERA, the remote can trigger custom scenes involving multiple devices, not just lights. Powered by a CR2032 coin cell battery with approximately 2-year lifespan, the remote requires minimal maintenance. Compatible with all IKEA TRADFRI bulbs and many third-party Zigbee lights through Home Assistant and other platforms.
