Logitech Harmony Companion

The Logitech Harmony Companion is a universal remote system combining a physical remote with hub-based smart home control. This system consolidates control of entertainment devices and smart home products into single-button activities. The Harmony Hub uses IR blasters, Bluetooth, and WiFi to control TVs, streaming devices, AV receivers, and smart devices from a unified interface.

NOTE: Logitech has discontinued the Harmony line, though devices continue functioning and the Harmony app remains available. The hub controls entertainment equipment via IR while integrating with Philips Hue, SmartThings, and other platforms for lighting and scene control. Activities can combine powering on devices, setting inputs, and adjusting lighting.

The Harmony Companion works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice-activated activities. While no longer in production, existing systems remain functional for users who already own them. The combination of universal remote functionality with smart home integration made Harmony popular, though users should consider alternative solutions for new installations.
