Govee WiFi Water Sensor

The Govee WiFi Water Sensor provides wireless water leak detection with smartphone alerts for protecting your home from water damage. Similar to the Water Leak Detector but in a slightly different form factor, this sensor detects the presence of water and immediately sends notifications through the Govee Home app while sounding a local alarm.

The sensor's contact points detect water quickly, triggering both a local audible alarm and push notifications to your smartphone. This dual-alert system ensures you're informed of leaks whether you're home or away. Place sensors in high-risk areas like basements, laundry rooms, under sinks, near water heaters, and around HVAC systems for comprehensive leak monitoring.

WiFi connectivity (2.4GHz) enables remote monitoring through the Govee Home app, where you can check sensor status, view detection history, and configure alerts. The app supports multiple sensors with custom naming to quickly identify which location detected water. Create automation scenes that could trigger other Govee devices when water is detected.

Battery operation allows flexible placement without concern for outlet locations. Low battery warnings in the app ensure you're notified before power runs out. Voice assistant integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant allows status queries. Note that Matter and Apple HomeKit are not supported, and the sensor requires an active WiFi connection for remote notifications.
