Ring Alarm Pro Base Station

The Ring Alarm Pro Base Station is the central hub of Ring's premium home security system, featuring a built-in eero Wi-Fi 6 router that provides whole-home mesh networking alongside security monitoring. The integrated router supports speeds up to 900 Mbps and covers up to 1,500 square feet, with the option to add eero extenders for larger homes. This dual-function design eliminates the need for a separate router while providing professional-grade security.

The base station includes multiple radio technologies: Z-Wave for security sensors, LTE cellular backup for monitoring during internet outages, Bluetooth LE for device pairing, and a 900MHz radio for Amazon Sidewalk connectivity. An internal backup battery ensures operation during power outages, and the 104dB integrated siren provides audible alerts. The smash-proof design continues sending signals even if the unit is destroyed during a break-in.

With an optional Ring Protect Pro subscription ($20/month), gain 24/7 professional monitoring, cellular backup internet, extended warranty, and Alexa Guard Plus features. The system integrates deeply with Amazon Alexa for voice control, routines, and announcements. Z-Wave compatibility allows adding third-party sensors and devices. Note: While the hardware includes a Zigbee chip, it remains disabled pending future software updates.
