The Ring Alarm Security Kit (5-piece) provides everything needed to start a DIY home security system: one Base Station, one Keypad, one Contact Sensor, one Motion Detector, and one Range Extender. This starter kit covers a small home or apartment with entry monitoring and motion detection, with the flexibility to expand by adding more sensors as needed.

The Base Station serves as the central hub, connecting to your Wi-Fi network and communicating with all Ring Alarm sensors via Z-Wave protocol. The included Keypad allows arming and disarming with a PIN code, and features an LED status display. The Contact Sensor detects when doors or windows open, while the Motion Detector monitors for movement with configurable sensitivity and pet-friendly settings.

The system works standalone with self-monitoring through the Ring app (free), or add Ring Protect plans for 24/7 professional monitoring, cellular backup, and extended video storage. Deep Amazon Alexa integration enables voice commands like 'Alexa, arm Ring' and announcements when sensors trigger. The system expands with additional Ring sensors, cameras, and third-party Z-Wave devices for comprehensive whole-home security.
