Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1

The Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1 motorizes existing roller shades for smart control through Zigbee connectivity and Apple HomeKit integration. This retrofit motor attaches to standard roller shade tubes, converting manual shades into automated window treatments controllable through the Aqara app, Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant. Thread connectivity via compatible Aqara hubs enables Matter integration.

The motor supports shade tubes from 1 inch to 1.5 inches in diameter with maximum shade width of 6.6 feet and fabric weight up to 3.3 pounds. The quiet motor operates at under 35dB, suitable for bedrooms without disturbing sleep. Solar panel accessories (sold separately) enable battery-free operation in sunny locations.

HomeKit integration enables automations based on time, sunrise/sunset, or other device triggers—close shades automatically at sunset, open them with your morning alarm, or coordinate with sensors for temperature or light-based automation. Position control allows setting shades to specific percentages for precise light management.
