What You'll Need

  • Wallbox Pulsar Max
  • 50A or 60A circuit breaker (for 48A model)
  • 6 AWG copper wire
  • Appropriate conduit
  • Electrical tools

  • 2.4GHz or 5GHz WiFi network

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Disconnect power: Turn off the main breaker at your electrical panel.
  2. Choose location: Select a spot that allows the 25-foot cable to reach your vehicle. Pulsar Max is outdoor rated.
  3. Install circuit breaker: Add the appropriate breaker to your panel based on your Pulsar Max model (40A or 48A).
  4. Mount the unit: Use the included bracket to mount at a height between 2-4 feet from ground level.
  5. Run wiring: Route wire from panel to charger through weatherproof conduit.
  6. Connect wires: Open the Pulsar Max terminal cover. Connect L1, L2, and ground to marked terminals.
  7. Configure Power Boost (optional): If using dynamic load management, install the included CT clamp on your main feed.
  8. Restore power: Turn on the breaker. The Pulsar Max halo will illuminate.
  9. Set up Wallbox app: Download and create a Wallbox account.
  10. Add charger: Tap "Add Charger" and scan the QR code on your Pulsar Max.
