Step-by-Step Setup
- Plug in the device: Insert the Cync Smart Plug into a wall outlet. The LED will begin blinking.
- Choose setup method: Use Matter directly or start with the Cync app.
- For Matter setup: Open your Matter controller app and tap "+" to add a device.
- Scan Matter code: Find the QR code on the plug or packaging and scan it.
- Wait for connection: The plug connects to your Wi-Fi via the Matter controller.
- Assign room: Place the plug in the appropriate room.
- Name the plug: Give it a descriptive name for voice control.
- Test operation: Toggle via app and verify the physical button works.
- Set schedules: Configure timers and automations as needed.

Troubleshooting
- LED not blinking: Unplug and replug. Press and hold button for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode.
- Matter pairing fails: Ensure 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Move closer to router during setup. Try factory reset.
- Plug offline: Check Wi-Fi connection. Power cycle the plug. Remove and re-add if persistent.
- Physical button not working: May indicate issue—try factory reset. Contact support if it continues.
- Multiple platforms not syncing: Matter allows multi-admin. Add to each platform using the sharing/pairing process.
