Step-by-Step Setup

Check outlet coverage: The outdoor plug should be in a covered outlet or protected from direct rain.
Plug in the device: Insert into the outdoor outlet. The LED indicates power.
Enter pairing mode: Press and hold the button until the LED blinks rapidly.
Open Matter controller: Apple Home, Google Home, or another Matter-compatible app.
Add device: Tap "+" and scan the Matter QR code.
Connect to Wi-Fi: The plug joins your network through the Matter controller.
Assign room/location: Place in an appropriate area (e.g., "Backyard" or "Front Porch").
Test operation: Toggle via app to verify connection.
Set up schedules: Configure timers for landscape lights, holiday decorations, etc.

Wi-Fi signal weak outdoors: Outdoor locations often have weaker signal. Use a Wi-Fi extender or mesh system.
Plug showing offline: Check Wi-Fi reaches the outdoor location. Power cycle the plug. Verify outlet has power.
Weather protection concerns: Keep connections in covered outlet boxes. Ensure plug is rated for outdoor use.
Won't pair: Move closer to router during initial setup. Ensure it's in pairing mode (rapid blinking).
Dual outlets not independent: Some models control both outlets together. Check documentation for your specific model.
