What You'll Need

  • Eve Energy Strip
  • iPhone or iPad with Apple Home app
  • HomeKit-enabled home hub (HomePod, HomePod mini, or Apple TV)
  • 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi network (Thread preferred)

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Position the strip: The Eve Energy Strip has 3 individually controllable outlets
  2. Plug in: Connect to a wall outlet. The strip powers on automatically
  3. Open Apple Home app: Tap "+" → "Add Accessory"
  4. Scan HomeKit code: Use your camera to scan the code on the strip or its packaging
  5. Wait for pairing: HomeKit will detect and add the strip (may take a minute)
  6. Assign to room: Choose which room the strip belongs to
  7. Name each outlet: Tap each outlet to give it a custom name
  8. Optional - Eve app: Download Eve app for advanced features like scheduling and energy monitoring

Troubleshooting

  • Won't pair with HomeKit: Ensure you have a home hub (HomePod, Apple TV). Reset strip and try again
  • Shows "No Response": Check if home hub is online. Try power cycling the strip
  • Thread not connecting: Ensure HomePod mini or Apple TV 4K (2021+) is nearby for Thread network
  • Energy data not appearing: Use Eve app for detailed energy statistics (not shown in Home app)
  • Factory reset: Use a pin to press the reset button for 10 seconds
