- Leviton Decora Smart Outlet (Matter version)
- Standard electrical box with neutral wire
- Matter-compatible smart home controller
- Screwdriver and voltage tester
- 2.4GHz WiFi network
Step-by-Step Setup
- Turn off power: Switch off the circuit breaker for the outlet. Verify with voltage tester.
- Remove old outlet: Unscrew faceplate and outlet. Note existing wire connections.
- Connect ground: Attach green or bare wire to the green ground screw.
- Connect neutral: Join white wire to the white (silver) terminal.
- Connect hot wire: Attach black wire to the brass terminal.
- Install outlet: Secure outlet to box with screws. Install faceplate.
- Power on: Turn on circuit breaker. LED indicator should illuminate.
- Pair with Matter: Open your smart home app and scan the Matter QR code on the outlet.
- Test control: Use app and physical button to toggle the outlet on and off.

Troubleshooting
- Outlet not powering on: Verify breaker is on and wires are securely connected.

- Only one outlet works: This is a feature—both outlets are controlled together by design.
- LED too bright: LED brightness can be adjusted or disabled in your Matter controller settings.
