What You'll Need
- Leviton Decora Smart Zigbee Outlet
- Zigbee smart home hub (SmartThings, Hubitat, Amazon Echo with Zigbee, etc.)
- Neutral wire at outlet box
- Screwdriver and voltage tester
- Wire connectors
Step-by-Step Setup
- Turn off power at the circuit breaker and confirm with a voltage tester
- Remove existing outlet - Remove cover plate and disconnect the old outlet
- Wire the Leviton outlet:
- Black (hot) wire to brass terminal
- White (neutral) wire to silver terminal
- Green/bare (ground) wire to green terminal
- Mount the outlet and install the cover plate
- Restore power at the breaker
- Pair with Zigbee hub:
- Put your Zigbee hub in pairing mode
- Press the outlet button to start pairing
- The LED flashes green during pairing and turns solid when complete

Troubleshooting
- Pairing fails: Reset by holding the button 10 seconds until LED flashes red, then retry pairing

- Intermittent connectivity: Add more Zigbee router devices to strengthen the mesh
