Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Plug in the device: Insert the Onvis Smart Plug into a wall outlet. The LED will begin blinking, indicating pairing mode.
  2. Open Matter controller: Use Apple Home, Google Home, SmartThings, or another Matter-compatible app.
  3. Add new device: Tap "+" to add an accessory.
  4. Scan Matter code: Locate the QR code on the plug or packaging and scan it with your phone.
  5. Wait for connection: The plug will connect to your network via Wi-Fi or Thread.
  6. Assign room: Place the plug in the appropriate room.
  7. Name the plug: Give it a descriptive name for easy voice control.
  8. Test operation: Toggle on/off via the app and verify the physical button works.
  9. Set automations: Create schedules or automations as desired.

Troubleshooting

  • LED not blinking: Unplug and replug. Hold button for 5-10 seconds to enter pairing mode.
  • Matter pairing fails: Ensure you're on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or have a Thread border router. Move closer to router/border router.
  • Energy data not showing: Ensure plug is connected. Wait a few minutes for data to populate. Check app supports energy monitoring display.
  • Plug offline: Check network connection. Power cycle the plug. Remove and re-add if persistent.
  • Physical button unresponsive: May indicate hardware issue. Try factory reset. Contact support if problem continues.
