Step-by-Step Setup
- Position microwave: Place on flat surface with adequate ventilation clearance.
- Plug in: Connect to standard outlet. Avoid shared outlets with high-draw appliances.
- Download SmartHQ app: Install and sign in to GE Appliances account.
- Add appliance: Tap "+" and select Microwave from the list.
- Enter pairing mode: Press and hold WiFi/Connect button until indicator flashes.
- Connect to WiFi: Enter your 2.4GHz network credentials in the app.
- Complete pairing: Microwave appears in your SmartHQ dashboard.
- Link to Alexa: Enable GE skill in Alexa app for voice control and Scan-to-Cook.
- Set up Scan-to-Cook: In Alexa app, enable Scan-to-Cook feature for automatic cooking settings.
- Test voice control: Say "Alexa, microwave for 2 minutes" to verify setup.
