ConnectSense outlets offer HomeKit integration with energy monitoring. This guide covers connectivity issues.

Outlet Not Connecting to WiFi

  1. ConnectSense requires 2.4GHz WiFi
  2. Use ConnectSense app for initial setup
  3. Hold button until LED blinks rapidly
  4. Follow app instructions for pairing
  5. Factory reset: Hold button 15 seconds

HomeKit Pairing Issues

  1. Scan HomeKit code on device or packaging
  2. Ensure iPhone on same WiFi network
  3. Home Hub (Apple TV/HomePod) recommended
  4. Try adding via ConnectSense app first
  5. Reset HomeKit settings in ConnectSense app

Outlet Showing Offline

  1. Check WiFi network is operational
  2. Power cycle outlet (unplug/replug)
  3. Verify outlet LED indicates connection
  4. Move outlet closer to router
  5. Re-add if offline persists

Energy Monitoring Not Showing

  1. Energy readings update periodically
  2. Check readings in ConnectSense app
  3. HomeKit shows power consumption
  4. Historical data available in app
  5. Some outlets show per-outlet usage

Power Strip Individual Control

  1. Each outlet controllable separately
  2. Outlets appear as individual accessories in HomeKit
  3. Name each outlet for easy identification
  4. USB ports may be always-on
  5. Create scenes for outlet combinations

Alexa Integration

  1. Enable ConnectSense skill in Alexa
  2. Link account when prompted
  3. Outlets appear in Alexa devices
  4. Voice control works alongside HomeKit
  5. Energy data not shown in Alexa
