Common Symptoms

  • Light not turning on/off
  • Color or brightness not changing
  • Device showing offline
  • Switch physical button not working

Smart Bulb Troubleshooting

1. Check Power

  • Ensure wall switch is ON
  • Bulb requires constant power for smart features
  • Test socket with regular bulb

2. Reset Bulb

  1. Turn bulb on/off 5-6 times (2 second intervals)
  2. Bulb will flash indicating reset
  3. Re-add in Meross app

3. Dimmer Switch Compatibility

  • Don't use smart bulbs with dimmer switches
  • Causes flickering and connectivity issues
  • Replace with standard on/off switch

LED Strip Issues

Strip Not Lighting

  1. Check power adapter connection
  2. Verify controller has power (LED indicator)
  3. Check connection between controller and strip
  4. Try different outlet

Partial Strip Failure

  • Inspect strip for damage or cuts
  • Check extension connectors if applicable
  • Only cut at designated marks
  • Connector may be loose

Color Issues

  • Update firmware in Meross app
  • RGBIC strips have per-segment color
  • Check mode settings in app

Smart Switch Issues

Installation Verification

  • Verify wiring is correct (hot, neutral, load, ground)
  • Most Meross switches require neutral wire
  • Check circuit breaker is on
  • Consult electrician if unsure

Physical Button Not Working

  • Check switch has power
  • Button may be locked via app
  • Try power cycling at breaker

WiFi Setup

  1. Install switch physically first
  2. Power on at breaker
  3. LED should flash indicating pairing mode
  4. Add device in Meross app

Matter Devices

Matter Switch Setup

  1. Install switch per instructions
  2. Power on and enter pairing mode
  3. Scan Matter QR code with controller app
  4. Switch joins Matter network

Adding to Multiple Controllers

  • Matter allows multi-admin

  • Add to secondary controller with sharing code

WiFi Connectivity

  • Require 2.4GHz WiFi network
  • Check signal strength at device location
