Tailwind iQ3 Smart Garage Controller

The Tailwind iQ3 is a smart garage door controller that adds WiFi connectivity and automation to existing garage door openers. This controller installs alongside your current opener, providing smartphone control, auto-open based on vehicle approach, and integration with major smart home platforms. The system supports up to three garage doors from one controller.

The auto-open feature uses your smartphone's Bluetooth as you approach, opening the garage before you arrive—no button pressing required. Geofencing can also close the door automatically when you leave home. The Tailwind app provides remote control, activity history, and guest access management.

Integration with HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Home enables voice control and smart home automation. The controller works with most garage door openers manufactured after 1993. Vehicle-specific sensors (sold separately) enable per-car automation for households where different people should trigger different doors. For sophisticated garage automation beyond basic remote control, the iQ3 provides intelligent access management.
