Govee Smart Bulb BR30 Color

The Govee Smart Bulb BR30 Color is a smart flood light designed for recessed ceiling fixtures, track lighting, and other BR30 applications. Delivering 1200 lumens of brightness (equivalent to 85W incandescent), this bulb provides both full-color RGB illumination and tunable white light ranging from warm 2700K to daylight 6500K. The wide beam angle ensures even coverage typical of BR30 reflector bulbs.

Color capabilities include 16 million colors accessible through the Govee Home app, along with white light that can be precisely adjusted for different activities and times of day. The high CRI (Color Rendering Index) of 90+ ensures that colors appear accurate and vibrant under this light—important for kitchens, bathrooms, and other spaces where color quality matters.

WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity enable smart features including app control, voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, scheduling, and scenes. The Govee Home app provides DIY color customization, preset scene modes, and music sync that pulses the light in response to sound. Multiple bulbs can be grouped for coordinated control of entire rooms.

The BR30 form factor (3.74-inch diameter) with standard E26 base fits most recessed fixtures. Dimming from 1% to 100% is supported through app or voice control, though the bulb is not compatible with physical dimmer switches. Note that this model does not support Matter or Apple HomeKit—newer Govee BR30 models offer Matter certification for broader platform compatibility.
