Inovelli Fan + Light Switch (Z-Wave)

The Inovelli LZW36 Red Series Fan + Light Switch is an innovative Z-Wave Plus device that provides independent control of both a ceiling fan and its attached light fixture through a single wall switch. This is particularly valuable for homes with only one wire running from the fan to the switch, as it uses a canopy module installed at the fan to enable separate control of the fan motor (up to 1/6 HP) and light (up to 200W incandescent or 100W LED/CFL). The device features a 700 Series Z-Wave chip with S2 encryption and SmartStart support.

Both the fan speed and light dimming are fully controllable with separate LED notification bars that can be customized to display different colors for various home automation events like door unlock alerts or weather warnings. The switch supports up to 42 Z-Wave scenes through multi-tap actions, allowing complex automation triggers directly from the switch. Built-in energy monitoring tracks power consumption for both the fan and light separately, providing detailed usage data to your smart home hub.

Configuration options include adjustable dimming speeds, minimum/maximum brightness levels, power-on states, and LED indicator colors and brightness. The switch supports OTA firmware updates for ongoing improvements and is compatible with major Z-Wave platforms including SmartThings, Home Assistant, Hubitat, and HomeSeer.
