Philips Hue Smart Button

The Philips Hue Smart Button is a compact, versatile wireless controller measuring approximately 45mm in diameter with a smooth, soft-touch finish. Powered by a CR2032 coin battery that provides up to two years of use (rated for 50,000 clicks), this smart switch can control your Hue lights without reaching for your phone or voice assistant. The button supports both single press and press-and-hold actions, each of which can be programmed independently to turn lights on/off, trigger scenes, dim or brighten lights, or start automations.

A standout feature is the button's intelligent time-based lighting capability when connected to a Hue Bridge. The button comes pre-programmed with five time slots that automatically adjust your lights' color temperature and brightness based on the time of day - bright energizing light in the morning and dim relaxing light at night. Each subsequent press cycles through the available scenes, providing different lighting moods at the touch of a button. Long press can be configured for dimming control or to turn all lights off.

The Smart Button includes two magnetic mounting options: a standard wall plate and a mini mount, both featuring 3M adhesive backing for easy installation. The button magnetically snaps onto either mount and can be removed for use as a portable remote control. It also attaches to any magnetic surface like a refrigerator. While the button works with up to 10 lights via Bluetooth without a Bridge, connecting to a Hue Bridge unlocks the full feature set.
