Step-by-Step Setup
- Set up the Hub first: Connect the Sure Petcare Hub to your router via Ethernet. Plug in power.
- Download Sure Petcare app: Install and create your account.
- Add the Hub: Follow app instructions to register your Hub.
- Insert batteries in feeder: The Connect feeder uses 4x C batteries as backup (or use the power adapter).
- Add feeder to app: Tap "Add Product" and select "Microchip Pet Feeder Connect." Follow pairing steps.
- Register your pet: Add your pet's profile with name and photo.
- Learn the microchip: Press the "Add Pet" button on the feeder. Have your pet approach the bowl. The feeder will read and store their microchip ID.
- Alternative: Use RFID tag: If your pet isn't microchipped, attach a SureFlap RFID collar tag and register it.
- Place food in bowl: The lid opens only for registered pets.
- Train your pet: Initially, use training mode with the lid partially open. Gradually close it over a week.
- Set up notifications: Get alerts when your pet eats and track food intake.

Troubleshooting
- Lid not opening: Ensure pet is registered. Check microchip is readable (vet can verify).
- Pet scared of lid: Use training mode to gradually accustom your pet to the movement.
- Not connecting to Hub: Move feeder closer to Hub. Check Hub has green light.
- Wrong pet accessing food: Register all pets. The feeder will alert you to intruders.
