What You'll Need

Step-by-Step Setup
- Connect the Gateway: Plug Ethernet into your router (recommended) or prepare for Wi-Fi setup. Connect power.
- Wait for boot: The gateway takes 2-3 minutes to initialize. LED will stabilize when ready.
- Download Abode app: Install and create your account.
- Add Gateway: Tap "+" and scan the QR code on the bottom of the gateway, or enter the MAC address manually.
- Wi-Fi setup (if not using Ethernet): Follow app prompts to connect to your network.
- Add Key Fob or Keypad: In the app, tap "+" → select your device → follow pairing instructions. Set your PIN for the Keypad.
- Add Door/Window Sensors: Put gateway in pairing mode, then pull the battery tab on each sensor. Install using included adhesive.
- Add Motion Sensor: Pair through the app. Mount in corner, 6-7 feet high, facing the room.
- Configure modes: Set up Home, Away, and Standby modes with appropriate sensors for each.
- Set up automations: Create CUE automations for lights, locks, and other connected devices.

Troubleshooting
- Gateway not connecting: Verify Ethernet connection or Wi-Fi credentials. Check router settings for any device blocking. Power cycle the gateway.
- Sensors not pairing: Ensure gateway is in pairing mode. Move sensor within 10 feet during pairing. Check battery is installed correctly.
- HomeKit not showing: Ensure HomeKit is enabled in gateway settings. Re-scan the HomeKit code. Check that you're on the same network.
- Cellular backup not working: Requires Abode Pro monitoring plan. Check cellular signal strength in app. Contact Abode support if signal is good but backup fails.
- Automation not triggering: Check device status—ensure all devices in the automation are online. Review CUE automation conditions. Test individual devices.
