What You'll Need
- Aeotec Siren 6
- Z-Wave compatible hub (SmartThings, Home Assistant, Hubitat, etc.)
- Power adapter (included)
- Smartphone with hub's app
- DSK code (printed on device for S2 security)
Step-by-Step Setup
- Power On Siren: Connect the Siren 6 to power using the included adapter. The LED will turn on.
- Put Hub in Pairing Mode: Open your Z-Wave hub's app and enable device inclusion/pairing mode.
- Add Siren to Network: Tap the Action Button on the Siren 6 once (quick tap).
- Enter DSK (for S2 Security): If prompted, enter the first 5 digits of the DSK printed on the device.
- Wait for Pairing: The LED will emit a solid color for 30 seconds when paired successfully.
- If Pairing Failed: LED continues to blink slowly. Try again or move closer to the hub.
- Configure Sounds: Use your hub's app to select from available siren sounds and volume levels.
- Test the Siren: Trigger a test from your hub to verify the siren works properly.

Troubleshooting
- LED keeps blinking: Pairing failed. Ensure hub is in pairing mode and try again within 30 feet.
- Remove from network: Press Action Button 6 times in 2 seconds while hub is in exclusion mode.
- Home Assistant setup: Press "c" for integrations, add Z-Wave device, press inclusion button on Siren 6.
- SmartThings custom sounds: Install the custom device handler by krlaframboise for full functionality.
- Volume too loud/quiet: Adjust via hub settings. Siren 6 supports multiple volume levels per sound profile.
