What You'll Need
- Aqara Camera Hub G3
- Smartphone with Aqara Home app
- 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network
- USB-C power cable and adapter
- HomeKit setup code (on bottom of camera)
Step-by-Step Setup
- Download Aqara Home App: Install from the App Store or Google Play.
- Power On Camera: Connect the USB-C cable and power adapter. Plug into an outlet.
- Wait for Ready State: The status indicator will show the camera is ready for pairing.
- Add Device in App: Open Aqara Home, tap (+) > Add Accessory > Camera Hub G3.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Select your 2.4GHz network and enter the password. Avoid special characters in password.
- Scan QR Code: Point the camera at the QR code displayed on your phone screen.
- Bind to HomeKit: Open Apple Home app, tap (+), scan the HomeKit code on the bottom of the camera.
- Assign Room: Choose a room and name for your camera in both apps.

Troubleshooting
- Wi-Fi won't connect: Only 2.4GHz supported. Avoid special characters (@, #, %) in Wi-Fi password.
- QR code not scanning: Ensure phone screen is at least 4.7". Adjust distance and lighting.
- HomeKit error: Restart iOS device, reset camera, then manually enter HomeKit code.
- Pan/tilt not in HomeKit: Due to HomeKit limitations, pan/tilt only works in Aqara app.
- SD card disables iCloud: Inserting an SD card disables HomeKit Secure Video cloud recording.
