Step-by-Step Setup
- Set up the SmartHub first: Connect the SmartHub to your router using the included Ethernet cable. Plug in the power adapter. Wait for the front LED to turn solid blue (about 2 minutes).

- Add the SmartHub: Tap "Add New Device" → "SmartHub." Scan the serial number on the bottom of the hub.

Troubleshooting
- SmartHub won't go online: Ensure Ethernet cable is securely connected to router and hub. Try a different router port. Check that your internet connection is working.
- Camera won't sync to hub: Move camera within 10 feet of SmartHub during initial sync. Press sync buttons in correct order (hub first, then camera within 2 minutes).
- 4K video not available: 4K requires an Arlo Secure subscription. Without subscription, video is limited to 1080p with 7-day cloud storage.
- Slow live streaming: 4K streaming requires strong Wi-Fi. Try reducing quality to 1080p for smoother playback. Check SmartHub signal strength in app.
- Battery life shorter than expected: 4K recording and frequent motion events drain battery faster. Use 1080p for longer battery life. Consider the Arlo Solar Panel for continuous charging.
