What You'll Need
- Cree Connected LED A19 bulb
- Zigbee-compatible hub (SmartThings, Philips Hue, etc.)
- Lamp or fixture with E26 socket
- Smartphone with your hub's app
Step 1: Install the Bulb
Screw the Cree Connected bulb into a standard E26 socket. Ensure the power switch is in the ON position.
Step 2: Put Hub in Pairing Mode
Open your Zigbee hub's app and start the device pairing/discovery process.
Step 3: Power Cycle to Pair
If the bulb is new and hasn't been paired before, it should automatically enter pairing mode when powered on. If it doesn't appear, try turning the bulb off and on again.
Step 4: Confirm in App
Your hub should discover the bulb within 60 seconds. Confirm the addition in your app and give the bulb a name.
Step 5: Test Control
Use the app to turn the bulb on/off and adjust brightness. The bulb should respond within seconds.
Reset to Factory (If Needed)
To reset: Turn the bulb on for 1 second, off for 1 second. Repeat this on/off cycle 5 times. On the 5th "on," the bulb will blink to confirm reset and enter pairing mode.
