What's in the Box
Your Eufy Indoor Cam E220 package includes the camera unit, a USB-C power cable, a USB power adapter, a mounting plate with screws and wall anchors, an adhesive pad for screw-free mounting, and a quick-start guide. The E220 features 2K resolution, built-in AI person detection, and local storage via a microSD card slot, so you do not need a monthly subscription for basic recording features.
Prerequisites
Download the eufy Security app on your iOS or Android device and create a eufy account or sign in. The Indoor Cam E220 connects directly to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network — no HomeBase hub is required. Ensure your Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz capable and that you know the password. You will need a power outlet near the camera's intended location, as the E220 requires constant USB-C power. Optionally, have a microSD card (up to 128 GB) ready if you want local video storage.
Step-by-Step Setup
- Plug the USB-C cable into the back of the Eufy Indoor Cam E220 and connect the other end to the power adapter. Plug it into a wall outlet. The camera's status LED will begin flashing blue, indicating it is in pairing mode.
- Open the eufy Security app and tap the "+" icon to add a new device. Select "Indoor Cam E220" from the device list.
- The app will prompt you to scan the QR code displayed on your phone's screen using the camera itself. Hold your phone about six inches in front of the camera lens. You will hear a voice prompt confirming the code was recognized.
- Select your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. The camera will connect within 30 seconds. A voice prompt will confirm "Connection successful."
- Name the camera and assign it to a room in the app.
- If you have a microSD card, insert it into the slot on the back of the camera. The app will detect the card and prompt you to format it for use. Once formatted, the camera will automatically record events to the card.
Placement and Mounting
The Eufy Indoor Cam E220 has a magnetic base that works on its own as a tabletop stand and also attaches to the included metal mounting plate for wall or ceiling installation. For wall mounting, position the camera six to seven feet high in a corner for the widest coverage area. The 360-degree pan and tilt motor lets you remotely adjust the viewing angle through the app, so exact initial positioning is less critical than with fixed cameras. Avoid placing it directly facing a window to prevent IR night vision reflections.
Smart Home Integration Tips
The Eufy Indoor Cam E220 works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit. For Alexa, enable the eufy Security skill and discover devices. You can then view the live feed on Echo Show or Fire TV by saying "Alexa, show the living room camera." For Google, link your eufy account in the Google Home app — the camera will appear as a device you can stream to Nest Hub displays. For HomeKit, add the camera using the HomeKit setup code found in the eufy Security app under camera settings. HomeKit Secure Video support allows iCloud-based recording and person/pet/vehicle detection through Apple's ecosystem.
Quick Troubleshooting
If the camera does not enter pairing mode (flashing blue), unplug it for 10 seconds and reconnect. If the QR code scan fails, increase your phone's screen brightness and hold it steady. If Wi-Fi connection fails, confirm you are using 2.4 GHz and not a 5 GHz-only network. For pan and tilt cameras that seem stuck, recalibrate through the eufy Security app under device settings by selecting "Recalibrate Pan/Tilt." If the microSD card is not detected, try formatting it to FAT32 on a computer before inserting it.
