Step-by-Step Setup
- Charge the camera: Although the S340 has a solar panel, charge it fully using the included USB-C cable before installation (approximately 6 hours).
- Download the eufy Security app: Install the app and create or sign in to your eufy Security account.
- Add the camera: Tap "+" and select "SoloCam S340" from the device list.
- Power on and pair: Press the power button to turn on the camera. The LED will blink blue when ready for pairing. Follow the app prompts to connect.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Select your 2.4GHz network and enter the password. Wait for the voice prompt "Connection successful."
- Choose mounting location: Select a spot that receives direct sunlight for solar charging. South-facing walls are ideal in the Northern Hemisphere.
- Install the mount: Use the mounting bracket as a template to mark and drill holes. Secure with the provided screws and anchors.
- Attach the camera: Slide the camera onto the mount and tighten the adjustment screw. Angle the solar panel toward the sun.
- Configure settings: Set up motion zones, spotlight settings, and notification preferences in the app.

Troubleshooting
- Battery not charging from solar: Ensure solar panel has direct sunlight exposure (not shaded). Clean the panel with a soft cloth. Check that the camera is positioned correctly.
- Won't connect to Wi-Fi: Move closer to router during setup. Verify 2.4GHz network is being used. Factory reset by holding the sync button for 10 seconds.
- Pan/tilt stuttering: Check battery level—low battery can affect motor performance. Ensure camera mount is secure and not loose.
- Storage full notification: Enable loop recording in settings to automatically overwrite oldest footage. Alternatively, download and delete old clips manually.
- Spotlight not activating: Check that spotlight is enabled in camera settings. Verify motion detection is turned on. Ensure battery level is sufficient.
