What's in the Box

Your eufyCam 2C Pro package includes the camera unit (or multiple cameras depending on your kit), a eufy HomeBase 2, an Ethernet cable, a power adapter for the HomeBase, a magnetic mounting bracket, screws and wall anchors, a micro USB charging cable for the camera, and a quick-start guide. The eufyCam 2C Pro is a wire-free, battery-powered outdoor camera with 2K resolution, built-in spotlight, and local storage through the HomeBase 2.

Prerequisites

Download the eufy Security app on your iOS or Android device. The eufyCam 2C Pro requires the HomeBase 2 hub, which connects to your router via Ethernet. Ensure you have an available Ethernet port on your router and a power outlet nearby for the HomeBase. Before mounting the camera outdoors, fully charge it using the included micro USB cable — a full charge takes about five to six hours and lasts several months depending on usage. Your Wi-Fi network should provide coverage where you plan to mount the camera, as the camera communicates with the HomeBase over Wi-Fi.

Step-by-Step HomeBase Setup

  1. Place the HomeBase 2 near your router. Connect it to the router using the included Ethernet cable and plug in the power adapter.
  2. Wait for the HomeBase LED to turn solid blue, indicating it is powered and connected to your network.
  3. Open the eufy Security app, tap the "+" icon, and select "HomeBase 2." Follow the prompts to add it to your account. The app will detect the HomeBase automatically if your phone is on the same network.

Step-by-Step Camera Setup

  1. Charge the eufyCam 2C Pro fully using the micro USB cable before mounting. The LED indicator on the camera shows red while charging and turns green when fully charged.
  2. In the eufy Security app, tap the "+" icon and select "eufyCam 2C Pro." Press the sync button on the back of the camera when prompted.
  3. The app will pair the camera with your HomeBase 2. This process takes about 30 seconds. A voice prompt confirms a successful connection.
  4. Name the camera and assign it to a location in the app.

Outdoor Mounting

The eufyCam 2C Pro uses a strong magnetic mount that attaches to the included metal bracket. Screw the bracket into your exterior wall, eave, or soffit at a height of seven to nine feet. The camera snaps onto the bracket magnetically, making it easy to remove for charging. Angle the camera slightly downward for the best motion detection coverage. The camera is IP67 weatherproof, so it handles rain, snow, and temperature extremes without issue. Position it where the built-in spotlight can illuminate walkways or driveways for color night vision footage.

Smart Home Integration Tips

The eufyCam 2C Pro supports Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit. For HomeKit, the integration runs through the HomeBase 2 — open the eufy Security app, go to HomeBase settings, and find the HomeKit setup code. Adding the HomeBase to HomeKit automatically adds all connected cameras. HomeKit Secure Video enables iCloud-based recording and intelligent notifications. For Alexa and Google, link your eufy account through the respective assistant apps to view live feeds on smart displays.

Quick Troubleshooting

If the camera does not pair with the HomeBase, ensure it is charged and within 15 feet of the HomeBase during initial setup. Move it to its outdoor location after pairing completes. If the HomeBase LED is not solid blue, check the Ethernet cable connection and try a different port on your router. If motion detection seems delayed, increase the sensitivity and reduce the retrigger interval in the eufy Security app under the camera's detection settings.
