What You'll Need
- Google Nest Cam (Indoor, Wired)
- Smartphone with Google Home app
- Google account
- 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network
- Power outlet near desired camera location
Step-by-Step Setup
- Download Google Home App: Install from the App Store or Google Play. Sign in with your Google account.
- Don't Mount Yet: Keep the camera accessible to scan the QR code before mounting.
- Plug In Camera: Connect the power cable and plug into an outlet. Wait for the camera to power on.
- Open Google Home: Tap (+) > Set up device > New device, or tap "Add" > "Set up device."
- Scan QR Code: Use your phone to scan the QR code on the back or bottom of the camera.
- Select Home: Choose which home to add the camera to, or create a new one.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Select your 2.4GHz network and enter the password.
- Position Camera: Place on a shelf, desk, or mount on wall using included hardware.

Troubleshooting
- Can't scan QR code: Clean the camera lens area. Ensure good lighting. Try entering setup code manually.
- Wi-Fi not found: Move camera closer to router. Wait a few minutes and retry.
- Connection drops: Reduce wireless interference. Consider a Wi-Fi extender if camera is far from router.
- Must use Google Home: Nest Cam (wired) is not compatible with the old Nest app.
- Factory reset: Press and hold the reset button on the back for 10 seconds.
