Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Plan Your Design: Decide on the layout before mounting. The 7 interchangeable segments (6 tubes + 1 corner) snap together like Lego blocks.
  2. Assemble the Segments: Connect the light bar segments in your desired configuration. They click together securely.
  3. Prepare Wall Surface: Clean the mounting area with a dry cloth. The wall should be smooth and dust-free.
  4. Apply Velcro/Adhesive: Attach the included velcro strips to the wall. Press firmly for 10 seconds and let stand for about 1 hour for best adhesion.
  5. Mount Light Bars: Attach the assembled light bars to the velcro strips on the wall.
  6. Connect Control Box: Plug the light bars into the control box, then connect the control box to power.
  7. Download Govee Home App: Install the app and create an account if needed.
  8. Enable Bluetooth: Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone and stay near the lights.
  9. Pair the Device: Open the app, tap (+), and search for your Glide model. Follow the on-screen pairing instructions.
  10. Connect to Wi-Fi: Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and password.

Troubleshooting

  • Bluetooth won't connect: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled and phone is within 5 feet of the lights. Restart the app if needed.
  • Wi-Fi setup fails: Only 2.4GHz networks are supported. Verify password is entered correctly.
  • Segments not lighting: Check that all segments are clicked together securely. Reseat connections if needed.
  • Velcro not holding: Allow full cure time (1 hour) before hanging. Surface must be clean and smooth.
  • App shows device offline: Check Wi-Fi connection. Delete device from app and re-pair if persistent.
  • Music sync not working: Grant microphone permissions to the Govee app for music reactive modes.
