What You'll Need
- Legrand Radiant Smart Dimmer (Matter)
- Screwdriver
- Voltage tester
- Wire connectors
- Matter-compatible smart home app
- Neutral wire (required)
Step 1: Turn Off Power
Turn off the circuit breaker. Confirm power is off with a voltage tester at the switch location.
Step 2: Remove Existing Switch
Remove the wall plate and existing switch. Note wire colors and connections.
Step 3: Wire the Dimmer
Connect wires according to the included diagram: Line, Load, Neutral, and Ground. The Legrand dimmer requires a neutral wire for operation.
Step 4: Mount and Install
Secure the dimmer in the electrical box. Attach the included wall plate.
Step 5: Power On
Restore power at the breaker. The dimmer should illuminate.
Step 6: Set Up with Matter
Open your Matter-compatible app (Apple Home, Google Home, etc.). Scan the Matter QR code on the dimmer or enter the setup code to pair.
