Step-by-Step Setup

Turn off power: Switch off the circuit breaker controlling the switch. Verify power is off with a voltage tester.
Remove old switch: Unscrew the faceplate and switch. Take a photo of existing wiring for reference.
Identify wires: Locate hot (black), neutral (white bundle), load (to light), and ground (green/bare) wires.
Connect wires: Connect ground to green screw, neutral to white lead, hot to brass screw marked "Line," and load to brass screw marked "Load."
Mount switch: Carefully push wires into box and secure switch with mounting screws. Attach faceplate.
Restore power: Turn on the circuit breaker. The switch LED should illuminate.
Pair with Matter: Open your smart home app and scan the Matter QR code on the switch or its documentation.
Complete setup: Name the switch and assign it to a room. Test on/off control from the app and physically.

Switch doesn't power on: Verify circuit breaker is on. Check all wire connections are secure.
Light flickers: Ensure load doesn't exceed switch rating (1800W incandescent, 600W LED/CFL).
Won't pair with Matter: Factory reset by pressing the switch rapidly 7 times. Ensure phone is on 2.4GHz WiFi.
Offline in app: Check WiFi signal strength at switch location. May need WiFi extender if weak.
LED indicator won't turn off: Adjust LED settings in your Matter controller app.
