Step 1: Choose a Location

Place the Levoit OasisMist 1000S Smart Humidifier in a central location at breathing height (3-5 feet from the floor). Avoid placing near windows, vents, or in direct sunlight for accurate readings.

Step 2: Power On

Connect the power adapter and plug in the device. Allow it to warm up for the initial calibration period (usually 24-48 hours for most accurate readings).

Step 3: Download the App

Install the Levoit app and create an account or sign in.

Step 4: Add the Device

Open the app and add the Levoit OasisMist 1000S Smart Humidifier. Connect it to your Wi-Fi network following the in-app instructions.

Step 5: Initial Calibration

The device will calibrate over the first day or two. During this time, readings may fluctuate as it establishes a baseline.

Step 6: Configure Alerts

Set up notifications for when air quality drops below acceptable levels. You can usually customize thresholds for different pollutants.

Understanding Readings

Common measurements include:

PM2.5: Fine particulate matter (ideal: under 12 μg/m³)
VOCs: Volatile organic compounds from cleaning products, paint, etc.
CO2: Carbon dioxide levels (ideal: under 1000 ppm)
Temperature & Humidity: Comfort and mold prevention

Smart Home Integration

Troubleshooting

Readings seem off: Check placement and allow full calibration time
