Step-by-Step Setup
- Unbox Components: The kit includes the controller, 2m LED strip sections, power supply, and mounting clips.
- Plan Installation: Decide where the strip will go. The Z strip is designed for TV backlighting or under-cabinet use.
- Connect Strip to Controller: Click the LED strip sections together and connect to the controller.
- Power On: Plug the power supply into the controller and an outlet.
- Download LIFX App: Install from App Store or Google Play.
- Add Device: Open app, tap (+) to add a new light, and follow prompts.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Enter your 2.4GHz network credentials.
- Mount the Strip: Use adhesive backing or mounting clips to secure.
- Configure Zones: In the app, set up individual color zones for effects.

Troubleshooting
- Not discovered: Power cycle the strip. It broadcasts its own network during setup.
- Zones not responding: Check firmware updates in app. Ensure all strip sections are connected.
- Dim sections: May indicate connection issue between strip sections. Reseat connectors.
- Factory reset: Turn power off/on 5 times in moderate rhythm until strip flashes.
- Extension issues: Maximum 10m total. Controller must support the total length.
