Step 1: Download the App
Download the Lorex app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Launch the app and create an account, or log in if you already have one.
Step 2: Plan Camera Placement
Choose a location with a clear view of the area you want to monitor. Optimal placement is 10 feet high, angled 15-30° outward, with the subject 22-65 feet away. Ensure an outlet is nearby and keep the camera within Wi-Fi range.
Step 3: Mount the Camera
Use the provided mounting template to mark drill holes. Drill through the marked locations and install wall anchors if needed. Secure the mounting bracket with the included screws.
Step 4: Connect Power
Connect the camera's cable to the power adapter and plug into a nearby outlet. For PoE models, connect the Ethernet cable from your PoE switch.
Step 5: Add Camera to App
Ensure your phone is connected to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. In the Lorex app, tap the add (+) icon. Scan the Device QR code on the bottom of your camera.
Step 6: Complete Wi-Fi Setup
Follow the in-app instructions to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network. Enter your network password when prompted. Wait for the connection to complete.
