What You'll Need
- Meross Matter Smart Light Switch
- Neutral wire (required)
- Single-pole or 3-way circuit
- Matter-compatible controller
- Smartphone with Meross app or controller app
- Screwdriver, wire strippers, voltage tester
Step-by-Step Setup
- Turn off power: Switch off the circuit breaker. Verify with voltage tester.
- Remove existing switch: Unscrew faceplate and switch. Document wire connections.
- Identify wires: Locate line (hot), load, neutral, and ground wires.
- Connect the Meross switch:
- Line → Hot from panel
- Load → Wire to light fixture
- Neutral → Neutral bundle
- Ground → Ground wire
- Mount the switch: Install in electrical box and attach faceplate.
- Restore power: Turn on the circuit breaker. LED should illuminate.
- Enter pairing mode: Press and hold the button until LED blinks.
- Add via Matter: Open your controller app, tap "+", and scan the Matter code.
- Complete setup: Assign room and configure settings.

Troubleshooting
- Switch not powering on: Verify all wire connections. Ensure neutral is connected. Check circuit breaker.
- LED flashing but won't pair: Ensure 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Move closer to router. Factory reset and try again.
- 3-way setup not working: Verify traveler wire connections. Both switches must be compatible or use companion switch.
- Light flickers: Check load wire connection. May indicate incompatible LED bulbs—try different bulbs.
- Physical switch not responsive: Check for loose connections. Verify the switch is receiving power.
