- Screwdriver, drill, voltage tester
Step-by-Step Setup
- Turn off power: Switch off the circuit breaker for the ceiling light circuit.
- Remove existing fixture: Unscrew and disconnect your current ceiling light.
- Install the mounting plate: Attach the Skylight mounting bracket to the junction box using the included screws.
- Connect wiring: Wire the Skylight power module to your home wiring (black to black, white to white, green to ground).
- Attach the main panel: Mount the first Skylight panel to the mounting plate.
- Connect additional panels: Use the included linkers to connect the remaining panels in your desired layout.
- Mount remaining panels: Secure each panel to the ceiling using the provided mounting hardware.
- Restore power: Turn on the circuit breaker. The panels will illuminate.
- Download Nanoleaf app: Install and sign in to your account.
- Pair the Skylight: Add the device and connect to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Run layout detection: Let the app scan your panel arrangement.

Troubleshooting
- Panels not powering: Check junction box wiring. Verify circuit breaker is on. Test voltage at the junction box.
- Linker connection issues: Ensure linkers click firmly into place. Check for bent pins. Try a different linker.
- Panels uneven brightness: Check all connections. Update firmware for all panels. Run brightness calibration.
- Wi-Fi setup fails: Move router closer during setup. Use 2.4GHz only. Power cycle the system.
- App not detecting all panels: Run layout scan again. Verify all panels are receiving power through linkers.
