Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Position the camera: Place on a flat surface with a clear view of the area to monitor. The camera is designed to look like a home decor item.
  2. Insert microSD card: Insert the included 8GB microSD card (or up to 32GB) for local video storage.
  3. Connect power: Plug in the USB cable and power adapter. The LED ring will illuminate.
  4. Download Netatmo Security app: Install and sign in or create a Netatmo account.
  5. Add the camera: Tap "+" → "Indoor Camera." The app will guide you through setup.
  6. Connect to Wi-Fi: Press the button on the camera when prompted. Enter your Wi-Fi credentials.
  7. Wait for connection: The LED will indicate successful connection. Initial setup may take a few minutes.
  8. Configure face recognition: The camera will start learning faces. Name recognized individuals in the app.
  9. Set notification preferences: Choose alerts for unknown faces, familiar faces, or all motion.

Troubleshooting

  • Camera not discovered: Press the setup button on the camera. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on phone. Move closer during setup.
  • Face not recognized: Ensure good lighting for face learning. Add photos manually in the app. The camera improves over time with more sightings.
  • microSD card error: Use Class 10 cards, 8-32GB. Format in the app. Try a different card if errors persist.
  • Video not recording: Check microSD card is inserted and formatted. Verify recording is enabled in settings.
  • HomeKit not connecting: Scan the HomeKit code on the camera. Ensure camera firmware is updated. Check your HomeKit hub status.
